Last month, the World of Concrete 2025 event in Las Vegas showcased the future of construction filled with innovation and enthusiasm. The exhibition floor bustled with companies eager to demonstrate their latest products and capabilities. Advancements in concrete technology and construction equipment were showcased. The event served as a significant platform for networking and exploring new opportunities in the concrete sector.
The Scaffold Builders Challenge at The World of Concrete 2025
Perhaps the most interesting event at the trade show was the 2025 Scaffold Builders Challenge. This exciting competition showcased the skills of scaffolding professionals from many companies. While no materials from Able Scaffold were included in the competition, there’s always a chance to learn at these events, so we paid close attention to see how the different teams attacked the problems posed.

In the South Hall of the absolutely massive Las Vegas Convention Center, nestled in the World of Masonry area, the event featured 18 teams competing against each other to quickly and safely erect and dismantle scaffolding structures. Each team consisted of four builders and one coach and represented various organizations across the industry. Teams were judged by a panel of experts, based on:
- Safety
- Speed
- Teamwork
- Precision
- Adherence to safety protocols
- Overall efficiency
The challenge not only served as a competition and a platform to elevate the scaffolding profession but also showcased the talent contributing to safer and more efficient construction practices. We tip our caps to all the participants who put on quite a show!
Looking Ahead
There were many discussion points around the show. Many vendors felt 2024 was a year of struggle with many downturns. But, there is the expectation that 2025 will be a much better year for the construction industry overall. Still haunting the conversations were discussions regarding the potential impacts of increasing tariffs. Also, rising costs and interest rates, along with jobsite disruptions were hot topics.
Whatever 2025 brings, Able Scaffold is committed to continuing to provide the same quality scaffolding, shoring materials, and more.
